Your personal information will not be shared with anyone else, & only used in emails to you to keep aware of any sales I may have.  If you contact me, but want no contact after that, just say so then, or send me an email.

Welcome!  I'm Susan Davenport, the owner & designer of Peacock Proud Design.  I finally have the chance to use my talents to combine art & function, to make it available to you.    I want you to feel your best when you wear jewelry that speaks to you, & when you arrive home, seeing art that beckons sanctuary.
Since I was very young I was drawn to the arts & have taken different courses of study among them, a Maryland Institute College of Art summer painting course,  a Catonsville Community College Graphic and Interior Design Course, and Famous Artists Schools Commercial Art & Illustration Course.

Originally from Baltimore, I now reside in Bowie, Maryland with my husband, Clay, daughter, Marcy & her cat Beans, & our cats Newt, Tribble, & Trojak (who's missing a leg).   I am of Polish descent (Szymkowiak), & became familiar with the language & culture through being raised attending Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, singing with Polonia Chorus, and dancing with Ojczyzna Polish Folk Dancers.  I even make an old, family recipe of fresh Polish sausage (kielbasy)!  You see peacock feathers in one of Poland's national costumes & all over my house in many forms.
Aside from these arts, I like to assemble jigsaw puzzles, listen to classical & international folk music, contra dance, & read historical non-fiction regarding Revolutionary War, Civil War, & WWII eras, & fictional Diana Gabaldon's  "Outlander" series.  I have shot the rapids, done first aid with the co-ed Boy Scouts, parachuted from a plane,
Revolutionary War re-enacted, constructed & embroidered some historical dress, helped renovate a house, & danced some international folk dancing.

**  If you're not too far away, I can also repaint, touch up, or enhance your garden statues, including pickup & drop off.
